Coffee

Believe it or not, coffee isn’t bad for you as everyone says it is. Coffee is excellent at helping your metabolism grow not to mention it contains many antioxidants (which you already know are very good for you).

Many studies have shown that coffee before a workout has helped to improve performance.

Green Tea

I’m sure you all already know that green tea is good for you but studies have shown that green tea contains an antioxidant which promotes fat burning! Fantastic right?

So maybe subsitute your normal tea for better health benefits? You may find that it helps burn more calories.

Live Yogurt

Studies are still ongoing however there a lot of positive evidence pointing to yogurt being one answer to weight loss.

Studies have shown that the good bacteria found in yogurt may be the reason for some people having a better metabolism than others. ‘Friendly’ bacteria lives in your gut and promotes weight loss but it can only be found in things such as blue cheese and live yogurt, so just be careful what you buy. Some yogurts are full of sugar so try to avoid these.

Chilli Peppers

You’ll be happy if you like spicy food! Studies have shown that spicy food elevates the heart rate making you burn more calories, without you having to do a thing!

Chillies also have a property that makes you feel fuller for longer.

Good old Protein

Lean protein such as chicken, turkey and ham keep you fuller for longer without compromising on a high amount of fat. Protein naturally has lower calories which makes it a great choice for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
